After a successful first year in 2009, Chapelfield Campsite is pleased to be back offering camping during the month of August in 2010. Also, new for this year, we will be open over the Spring Bank Holiday at the end May.
Located in the village of Godshill, 3 miles from Fordingbridge we offer a family run campsite in the heart of the New Forest which provides an ideal base for a camping holiday in this beautiful National Park.
Situated in a quiet enclosed field, Chapelfield Campsite is within a 5 minute walk of the open Forest where both ponies and cattle wander freely. The Fighting Cocks pub is also within a 5 minute walk and there is a fully stocked convenience store within a 10 minute walk.
We offer generous size level pitches (10m x 10m) and new for 2010 we are also offering smaller pitches (8m x 8m) exclusively for couples with smaller tents. Set in a large undulating field there is ample room to enjoy a spacious non-crowded environment. We are only able to accept tents and camper vans, sorry no touring caravans.
The site has 9 flushing portaloo style toilets with sink and soap for hand washing, 6 free constant hot water showers with a changing area, sink, and mirror and 3 water-stand pipes. All facilities are lit at night. We are unable to provide electric hook up. We are passionate about recycling and offer full recycling facilities on site. Sinks for washing up are provided and a freezer for ice packs.
Our focus is to provide a simple clean friendly environment for families and couples (sorry no large groups) looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday. Well behaved dogs are also welcome but we do ask that you clean up after them.
In order that our guests can enjoy a relaxing peaceful stay we operate a strict no music policy at all times and request that noise is kept to a complete minimum after 11.30pm. BBQs are allowed, but no camp fires. We ask that BBQs are extinguished after 11.30pm to assist with our no noise policy.
Please see the site map and rules for more information.
